Melanie Marshall, a keynote speaker on leadership under uncertainty, will join Calgary economist and author Todd Hirsch at an upcoming Calgary event titled By The Way, We’re Not Doomed, which will focus on resilience during periods of volatility and change.
The free June 17 event will feature Marshall, a Toronto-based, former award-winning BBC journalist, whose keynote draws on her experience reporting from conflict zones in Afghanistan and the Middle East.
In this interview, she talks about being an “unrepentant optimist” and some of the terrible things she experienced while covering global events. And the lessons learned from that.
